In the advent of bleak winter,
I watched the ember fade in cold air.
I blindly walked everywhere
On a rainy night of December
To the path that took me nowhere;
Lost and confused, finding my way out
Like being caught in the middle of a riddle
So enigmatic and deep the answer is uncertain.
Silence filled the frigid air,
Only the serene raindrops were heard.
And I was hiding under the dark clouds
For the moon was nowhere to be found;
I was lost and would never be found.
At that very moment silence meant goodbye,
The absence of words uttered the unsaid.
I was the hero of my self-written tragedy,
The one who dies in this story.
Like I was Romeo and this is my soliloquy,
I already found my lovely Juliet
But we're not the ones fated to be.
If these wounds have to bleed and
Would take time before they heal and
The scars would remain forever
To remind me of the fate I suffered;
Let it happen if it must.
For this would be the last time,
And the last line
I'll ever write...
Under the pale moonlight
For the lost of something I never had.
I watched the ember fade in cold air.
I blindly walked everywhere
On a rainy night of December
To the path that took me nowhere;
Lost and confused, finding my way out
Like being caught in the middle of a riddle
So enigmatic and deep the answer is uncertain.
